Army provides medicare facilities

BHADERWAH: Troops of 4RR of Indian Army trekked 8km steep hill to reach out to the one of the remotest Panchayat – Gundoo B of Chilli-Pingal tehsil in Doda district to organise a free medical camp and to distribute sanitizers and masks among the residents beside educating children about basic sense of hygiene on Thursday.

Troops based at Gandoh of Army’s 4 Rashtriya Rifles organised a free medical camp for the villagers at Gandoh B 75 km from Doda town. A large number of villagers participated in the camp and received free medicines and checkup beside sanitizers, masks were also distributed among the villagers. In addition to providing medicare facilities, sport shoes were also distributed among the youth of the area and they were also given motivational lecture by the officers of 4RR to join Army.

Over 450 patients mainly women from villages Sheikhpura, Khanpura, Banni, Tikka, Chati, Rehari, Jakyas, Tendla and Budhli of Gundo A, B C, panchayts were examined by a team of doctors and pharmacists of Indian Army beside civil doctors who rendered their service voluntarily.
