Aditya, a 12 year old boy committed suicide by hanging himself with a ceiling fan in his room. According to his family, Aditya was into gaming and his this step was totally unexpected.
“Last night he slept with me. In the morning I woke him up and then went to office. His mother also left home for work. At 11:30 when I returned I got to know about this mishap. He never shared any problem with anyone that could be the reason for his death. However, he used to play free-fire game.” Aditya’s father said.
“We never knew he would do this. His sister had kept food and milk for him. He didn’t eat anything since morning. He would be hungry (cries). As his sister went to take bath, he hanged himself.” added his mother
Aditya who was in 8th standard was a bright student. He took part in many School activities and even won prizes and medals.
“Aditya was a brilliant student. His parents never scolded him. He used to study well. His artworks got much appreciation. He even won medals in judo competitions. Once he won a cash prize too. He used to come to me showing his art. We miss him.” Aditya’s uncle said
The family originally belongs to Orissa but had settled in Jammu since 15-20 years. Aditya’s body has been taken to Government Medical College, Jammu for postmortem.
