LEAF, ALUYA delegations call on LG Mathur

LEH: The Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, R K Mathur was called upon by the delegation of Ladakh Student Educational & Environmental Action Forum (LEAF) and All Ladakh Unemployed Youth Association Ladakh (ALUYA) at Raj Niwas on Monday.

The delegation comprising Chief Coordinator, LEAF, Jigmat Paljor and a member of ALUYA made a representation on behalf of the students’ community and ALUYA to the Lt. Governor requesting to consider a temporary domicile certificate and to find a midway path to enable job recruitments in Ladakh and to restrict recruitment through outsourcing. They also apprised the LG of the earlier notified posts by LAHDC, Leh including Panchayat Account Assistant, Forest Guard, Field Surveyor, etc. which are still pending and the need to recruit professional degree holders in Agriculture and Horticulture sectors.

They also made a request to include Buddhist Studies as an optional subject in the Higher Secondary Schools of UT Ladakh. Noting their concerns and issues, the Lt. Governor stated that he shall look into the matter for due consideration.
