An interactive lecture cum discussion on Progressive and Developing Jammu region in comparison to Kashmir valley was organised at Nambal (Poonch) by local RR Bn. During the event, it was discussed that People of Jammu region have always practised Peace and Communal Harmony for overall development of area. People have followed right approach to highlight problem of their area through peaceful protests. They have even faught against raiders from Pakistan. People are very well aware of the nefarious design of Pakistan who has tried hard to target youth of the area by indicting them in drug abuse and other illegal activities. Security forces have ensured protection to the lives of people and their property even at the cost of their lives. With the help of local populace, security forces have been successful in maintaining peace and harmony in the areas of South of Pir Panjal. It is very evident from the recently conducted DDC elections which saw high polling percentages of more than 70% in the region. One can see a lot of developmental activities taking place in Jammu region in field of industry and trade as a result of progressive mindset of populace. Attendees at the meeting pledged to always work together with Army and civil administration to maintain peace and tranquility in the region for overall development of UT of J&K.
