Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) has filed chargesheet in a case regarding illegal mutation of land, in the Court of Additional Special Judge Anti-Corruption, Rajouri. The case pertains to FIR Number 04/2017 under Section 5 (1) (d) r/w 5 (2) J&K PC Act 2006 and Section 120-B RPC registered in police station VOJ (now ACB) against Vipan Kumar, the then Patwari Halqa Rajal (Nowshera), a resident of House Number 29, Janipur (Jammu), Lal Man (now expired), the then Naib Tehsildar, Agrarian Reforms, Rajal, son of Kahan Singh of Village Bera Mehrote, Tattapani (Kalakote) and beneficiary Sudershan Kumar son of late Amar Nath Lakhanpal of Colonel Colony, Satwari (Jammu), who is presently residing at House Number D-601, Orchid Enclave, Chandibali, Mumbai. As per the ACB chargesheet, the accused Sudershan Kumar managed the allotment/mutation number 187 dated 17-05-1982 for land measuring 48 kanal and 4 marlas situated at village Rajal in connivance with revenue officials and caused huge loss to the Government by acquiring the allotment of Government land by illegal means through accused revenue officials and thereby sold out that land for his monetary benefits. “The revenue officials namely Vipan Kumar and Lal Man (now expired) entered/recorded and attested the mutation of the land in favour of accused beneficiary without lawful justification and entitlement in blatant abuse of power and committed offences,” the ACB said in its chargesheet. The Court has fixed January 28, 2021 as next date of hearing.
