Army distributed masks and sanitizer for local population at Gei, Doda. A total of 400 N95 Masks and Hand Sanitizers (500ml) were distributed among the needy people. The initiative was aimed at providing assistance to poor families and was undertaken through a multi-pronged information campaign to bring about awareness on COVID-19. Majority of the population in Gei is residing in rural areas where hygiene items and masks are not available due to widespread poverty and lack of knowledge. This initiative is bound to provide continued impetus to the fight against the pandemic.
