District Magistrate Jammu Sushma Chauhan has declared number of localities in Jammu district as Containment Zones after COVID-19 positive cases and testing of locals. The Containment Zones include Ramzanpora and adjoining area in Janipura, Jhulaka Mohalla Gali (Near Sapna Saree Centre) and Christian Colony Ward No. 7 under the jurisdiction of Peer Mitha police station, Dhaki Hajjama in Jain Bazaar, Area near Karan Hotel in Bakshi Nagar, Area near Darshan Mata Mandir in Resham Ghar, Mohalla near Post Office in New Plot, Old Rehari near temple in Rehari, Gali Narayana in Kachi Chawni, Below Petrol Pump area in Dogra Hall, Malhotra Street in Kanak Mandi, Sector 2 in Sanjay Nagar, Rampura, Nai Basti, Near Narwal Pain in Satwari, Near Carmel Convent School in Kunjwani, Last Morh Hajipora, Sheikhpura, Ward No. 48 Bahu, Brahmin Mohalla, Ward No. 1 in Narwal and Near Chowki area in Bantalab. Chauhan said the Containment Zones have been made with objective of 100 percent Rapid Antigen Testing and to ensure that Corona positive patients don’t mix with negative persons. “There will be no movement whatsoever in and out of the Containment Zones. All business establishments except Medical shops will remain closed in the Zones,” an order issued by Chauhan said.
