Continuing his endeavour to provide better development and civic amenities to the people, JMC Mayor Chander Mohan Gupta along with Councillor Tripta Devi inaugurated an Open Gym at Saraswati Park, Sector 7, Lower Roop Nagar, here. District BJP Rural president, Rajinder Singh; Raipur Mandal president, Suresh Khajuria; vice president Rural Raipur Mandal, Tara Chand and prominent residents of the locality were also present on the occasion. Mayor said that the JMC had already taken up the job of commissioning Open Gyms along with installing requisite number of equipments related to it with an estimated cost of Rs 2 lakhs in each ward, so that the general public could take the benefits of these facilities in an open as well as in eco-friendly atmosphere. Later, the Mayor along with local Councillor also visited Maharaja Jambu Lochan Park situated at Sector 4 of Lower Roop Nagar, where locals put forth various demands regarding proper maintenance of the park cleanliness, installation of LED lights. Mayor assured the public that all their grievances would be sorted out within stipulated time period and directed the concerned officers of JMC to take immediate necessary measures to keep park neat, clean and green.
