Police on Thursday nabbed two persons in separate actions and recovered 20 litres of illicit Desi liquor, besides destroyed 100 litres of Lahan. As per the details, a team of Police Station Ghagwal during surprise check point on Rai-Nichla road, intercepted a person who was moving on suspicious ground. During checking of said person, a total of 14 litres of desi liquor was found which he was carrying in a plastic gallon. The accused person identified as Kali Dass, son of Uttam Chand, resident of Dhaki, Samba was arrested and a case vide FIR No. 49/2020 under section 48(A) Excise Act was registered against him at Police Station Ghagwal. Meanwhile Nowshera Police led by Inspector Amit Singh under the supervision of ASP Girdhari Lal Sharma and SDPO Nowshera Zakir Hussain, raided in village ladoka and destroyed 100 ltrs of Lahan, besides recovered 6 ltrs of desi liquor from a man namely Som Raj, son of Fakir Chand, resident of Ladoka. The accused was arrested and a case vide FIR 90/2020 under section 48 Excise Act was registered against him.
