A resident of Nubra subdivision in Leh district tested positive for coronavirus on Wednesday, taking the number of active cases in the region to 11. The infected person was already in quarantine at Hunder village. The Commissioner Secretary (Health) and spokesperson for Ladakh, Rigzin Samphel, confirmed the report of the new case from Nubra in his tweet today. The person came from Delhi and was in institutional quarantine at Hunder. With this new case, two persons have been infected with the virus in the Nubra valley so far. The first case has already recovered and been discharged from the hospital. Now, the total active cases in Ladakh stand at 11. Nine are admitted to Covid-dedicated hospital in Kargil district while the other two are at Mahabodhi Hospital in Leh district.
