Full house, back to back, three online sessions were organized by MV International School. In order to break the monotony of online studies and to motivate the children to stay positive during this pandemic situation, a new series of guest lectures by eminent achievers has been initiated by the school. Three sessions were organized for various class groups and response of students and their parents was overwhelming. The first LIVE online session was organsied for the students of classes 10th and 12th on the topic ‘We Can Achieve Anything if we Stay Focused’ by a highly decorated Army Officer and ace mountaineer; son of the soil from district samba Col. Ranveer Singh Jamwal, VSM**. During the interaction he shared his journey from a small village Badhori in Samba to being the first mountaineer to scale the ‘Seven Summits’ and ‘Mount Everest’ thrice. He motivated the students to keep their spirits high, learn from failures; he talked about enthusiasm to set high aims to achieve our dreams. The second online LIVE session was conducted for classes 6th to 8thby the famous Jammu di kurhi Shwetima Jamwal, Radio Jockey from Radio Mirchi 98.3FM she gave a talk on the theme ‘Jammu Meri Nazar Se’. She shared lot of information about Jammu and its places of historical and cultural importance. Online story telling session was held for the students of classes 1st and 2nd by Delhi based story teller Nikita Arora Kashyap. She mesmerized the children and their mothers by her creative art of presentation of the story ‘Gajapati Kulapati’. All children enjoyed to the thrill of the story. The three sessions were attended by Chairman of school Hira Lal Abrol, Director Gourav Abrol, School principal, staff members, students and their parents. The parents and guests expressed satisfaction over the initiative take up by the school to conduct of such sessions. This shall help the students to learn better and stay motivated. Online classes are not merely for teaching only, but such sessions would definitely add value to the cause of education.
