The celebrations of annual Urs of famed saint, Hazrat Sheikh Dawood (RA), popularly known as Batamaloo Sahib, have been cancelled in view of COVID19 threat, said organizers of the shrine. A statement said the organizers have appealed devotees to not throng shrine for traditional congregation. “Devotees are requested to stay at their respective homes as Urs celebration which was scheduled to be observed from April 15 to 18 stands cancelled,” reads the statement. It has appealed people to seek mercy, forgiveness and eradication of pandemic.
