A retired army man who was shot at by the militants in Bachroo village of south Kashmir’s Kulgam district last night died on Monday morning, reports said. Abdul Hameed Matoo of Bachroo village of the district, had served in the Territorial Army. A police official said the militants fired upon Matoo at his native village around 9pm. He received serious wounds and was rushed to SDH Qaimoh for treatment.Doctors said he had two bullet wounds and was referred to GMC Anantnag where from he was shifted to 92 Base hospital in Srinagar.Reports said that he breathed his last at the facility today morning.
