One more person with no travel history has tested positive for the novel coronavirus disease in central Kashmir’s Budgam district, taking the total number of cases in Jammu and Kashmir to 159, officials said on Thursday. According to Chief Medical Officer Budgam, Dr Nazir Ahmad, a 50-year-old man from Hanjik area of Soibugh has tested positive for Covid-19. He said the man had come in contact with an infected person. This is the third case of Covid-19 from the village. On Wednesday, 33 cases of COVID-19 were reported from the union territory, including 30 from Kashmir and three from Jammu.
