National Conference provincial President, Jammu, Devender Singh Rana Wednesday called for an integrated and cohesive approach to fight coronavirus, saying the pandemic has transcended national borders and ethnic boundaries and emerged as biggest challenge for humankind. “This is the time to adhere to the advisories by the government and experts in the field of medical science to help curb further spread of the virus,” Rana said, in a statement, adding this was also an occasion for people to help each other by whatever way they can to show human solidarity. Rana said humanity was at cross roads of its existence due to the virus and therefore the dreaded enemy was to be defeated by standing united, above party politics and prejudices. “We must put aside prejudices, differences, mistrust and all kinds of animosities to wage a full-fledged war against the epidemic with only agenda of defeating it as it concerns our lives, irrespective of religion, caste or nationality,” Rana said. “We have to maintain social distance but not shun the social responsibility”, Rana said, adding all National Conference functionaries across Jammu have engaged themselves in helping out people by maintaining all necessary protocols of the lockdown.

“The service to humans is the noblest of prayers and let us perform out little bit in whatever way we can,” Rana said.
