Three more Covid-19 cases were detected in Jammu on Monday, prompting the district administration to impose strict restrictions on the movement of people, officials said. In a tweet, the government spokesman, Rohit Kansal confirmed that three persons had tested positive for the novel disease. “No new cases in Kashmir division; in Jammu Division 3 new positive cases. Total for J&K now 41,” Kansal said on Twitter. Meanwhile, the District Magistrate, Jammu, Sushma Chouhan ordered complete restrictions on the movement in Bathindi, Sunjwan, and Gujjar Nagar. “No movement of any individual for any reason whatsoever shall be permitted into and out of Bathindi and Sunjwan areas, falling under police station Trikuta Nagar, and Gujjar Nagar area falling under police station Peer Mitha of district Jammu,” read an order issued by the DM Jammu under the Epidemic Diseases Act, 1879 and the Disaster Management Act, 2005, on Monday. In case of any medical emergency, the administration has advised people to contact control room numbers i.e. 0191-2571616, 0191-2571912, following which, necessary facilitation will be made.
