The family members of four persons from Hajin area who tested positive for coronavirus yesterday have been put under quarantine in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district, officials said on Thursday. An official said that the whole area has been put under lockdown while the family members of the infected persons have been shifted to a quarantine centre established at Kashmir Tibbiya College Shilvath Sumbal. Early in the morning, the municipal committee Hajin also started a sanitisation drive in the area, he said. A local revenue official said they have shifted the families, residing within a radius of 300 meters from the quarantine centres, to different locations. The four persons who tested positive for the coronavirus on Wednesday had participated in a religious congregation along with an infected person from Srinagar, who died today morning at CD hospital.
