At least 74 persons are under the home quarantine in this district. An official said these people had returned from different countries and various states of country. The official said the administration was observing the situation arising amid the Coronavirus threat in Jammu and Kashmir. The administration has already ordered closure of educational institutions including schools and colleges and business establishments till March 31. Earlier on Saturday, Chairman District Disaster Management Authority (Deputy Commissioner) Nazim Zia Khan ordered Assistant Commissioner, Revenue, Ramban; sub-divisional magistrates of Banihal, Ramsu Gool and Tehsildars of Ukhral, Batote and Ramban for immediate takeover of identified hotels, hostels, guest houses and school buildings at Banihal, Ukhral, Batote Gool and Ramban to be utilized for accommodation of persons (quarantined ) with immediate effect.
