Police on Tuesday said it arrested five gamblers from a gambling site here. A statement said following an input about gambling activities in Dar Mohalla of Dal Lake, a police party led by in charge police post/river police, Dal Lake, Ghulam Mustafa, under the supervision of SDPO Nehru Park Sachit Sharma, raided a gambling site and arrested five gamblers. “They were shifted to police station where they remain in custody,” said the statement. “Officers have also seized playing cards and stake money of Rs 4,030 from the gamblers.” A case (FIR No.25/2020) was registered and further investigation into the matter has been initiated, said the statement.
