Continuing with its drive against traffic violators, the district administration here Sunday seized 106 vehicles. The vehicles were either parked on roadsides or were locked unattended on the roads in the main town. The vehicles were towed by authorities from Municipality and the owners were later fined, an official said. He said the action was taken on the direction of the District Development Commissioner (DC) Pulwama, Raghav Langer who visited the town. Talking to media, the DC said ample parking space has been made available at old bus stand where people can park their vehicles. “But the drivers still park their vehicles on roads, creating problems for other vehicles and people,” he said. He said people should avail facility of parking and must show responsibility. “The administration is committed towards smooth traffic management in the town,” he said.
