Two persons died while five others were injured in two separate road accidents across J&K on Sunday. One person died while three others were seriously injured in a head-on collision between two vehicles here on Sunday. A police official said tata mobile vehicle (Registration No JK06A-1278) which was on way to Jammu from Batote collided head-on with a Bolero jeep (Registration No JK02CE-1186), which was coming from opposite direction, near Champa. The official said one person died on-the-spot while three others sustained grievous injuries in the accident. The deceased has been identified as Des Raj (75), son Sudhana Bhagat of Kishtwar. The injured were identified as Sunil Kotwal (15), son of Bihari Lal of Paddar, Kishtwar; Inspector Vijay Bahgat (55), son of Des Raj Bhagat and Santosha Kumari, wife of Des Raj – both residents of Kishtwar. The injured were referred to Government Medical Collage and Hospital Jammu for advanced treatment, said the official. He said a case has been registered at police station, Batote. In a separate road accident one person was killed and two others injured in Mangloora area of Kunzer in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district. A speedy tipper crushed a youth to death and injured two others severely. The deceased has been identified as Ishfaq Ahmad Shah, son of Ghulam Muhammad Shah. The injured were shifted to a nearby hospital, wherefrom they were referred to SKIMS here for advance treatment. Block Medical Officer (BMO) Kunzar, Dr Rukiya confirmed death of a person and injuries to two others. Police have registered a case and started investigation.
