Veteran Gujjar leader and former legislator, Choudhary Abdul Rehman Badhana passed away on Friday. He was 85. As per family sources, Badhana was suffering from multiple illnesses and breathed last this morning here. Hailing from Karnah area of Kupwara district of north Kashmir, Badhana was a former Member of erstwhile J&K Legislative Council. He contested election from Karnah constituency as an independent candidate. Meanwhile the Peoples Conference expressed grief and sorrow over demise Badana. Peoples Conference General Secretary Imran Ansari while expressing his condolences said, “I am pained and deeply saddened by the untimely demise of Khalid Badana Sahib. I offer my heartfelt condolences to the grieving family. May Allah grant him the highest place in Jannah and give strength and patience to the bereaved family in this difficult hour.” Other party leaders including Abdul Gani Vakil, Bashir Ahmed Dar, Raja Aijaz, Abbas Wani and others also expressed condolences with the bereaved family.
