Army organised lectures on “Women Empowerment Schemes” at Government Primary School Mithidhara, Hill Public School Khaniyalkote, Behramgala and Youth Centre Palma in Poonch and Rajouri Districts. The aim of the lecture was to spread awareness amongst the people about various Women empowerment schemes being run by State / Central Government such as Financial Assistance for Women (Integrated Social Security Scheme), Professional Training for Women (Mahila Samridhi Yojana), Loan for Women from Minority Communities, Support to Women with Disability (National Handicapped Financial and Development Corporation), Merit Scholarship Scheme, Loan for Skilled Young Women (Scheme for Empowering Skilled Young Women-2009), J&K Ladli Beti Scheme, Financial Assistance for Marriage (State Marriage Assistance Scheme) etc.
