As a part of ongoing celebrations of 550th Birth Anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev throughout the country, a Mutlimedia Exhibition organised by Regional Outreach Bureau (ROB), Ministry of Information and Broadcasting Government of India, Jammu was visited by Sanjeev Verma, Divisional Commissioner Jammu here on Sunday at Gurdwara Singh Sabha, Shri Guru Nanak Nagar, Jammu. The Multimedia Exhibition depicts life, teachings, sermons and philosophy of Guru Nanak Dev through digital displays and interactive interfaces to engage public at large. Various facets of Guru Nanak Dev’s philosophy of ‘Kirat Karo, Naam Japo and Vand Chakko’ are showcased in the exhibition. Sanjeev Verma, in his address, said that he is feeling blessed to be in the premises of Shri Gurdwara Sahib and humbled to know more and more about Guru Nanak Dev through efforts of ROB, which are put-up in mounting the multimedia exhibition on life, teachings and miracles of Guru Nanak Dev. He urged the gathering to preserve and promote Gurmukhi (Punjabi). Neha Jalali, Deputy Director, ROB and DD News J&K, in her address, said that Multimedia Exhibition will include creative designs for display showcasing the life, preaching and philosophy of Guru Nanak Dev. The displays aids, selfie corners with innovative ideas and online quiz competition to engage audience, gadgets and panels showcasing life, travels and philosophy of Guru Nanak Dev will engage the audience and create a virtual community for interaction/ exchange of ideas during and after the exhibition. The Multimedia Exhibition as one of the many activities being organised by the Department as a part of ongoing celebrations of 550th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev and will be open for public from 11 AM to 8 PM on all days upto 19th November 2019. Sr. Gurmeet Singh, General Secretary, Gurdwara Shri Singh Sabha Nanak Nagar Jammu also spoke on the occasion. Gurnam Singh from ROB presented formal vote of thanks and urged the audience and common local masses to visit the exhibition in large numbers. Col Devender Anand, PRO Defence Jammu, Sr Jagpal Singh, President Gurdwara Singh Sabha, Somnath Singh, Vice President Gurdwara Singh Sabha Nanak Nagar Jammu, Principal Shri Harmandir Public Higher Secondary School, Trikuta Nagar Jammu along with staff and students visited the exhibition. A number of people from across Jammu, Vijaypur, Sambha, Akhnoor, R S Pura and Udhampur also visited the exhibition.
