Traffic Police to lodge FIR for overloading: Kaith

In order to ensure more effective traffic management system and hassle free vehicular movement, Mohan Lal Kaith, SSP Traffic Rural Jammu along with Mohd Rafiq, DySP Traffic Rajouri -Poonch and concerned officials launched special awareness programmes in Poonch. The main objective of the camps was to aware the general public as well as drivers of matadors/auto PSV and TATA Sumo/tempos. During the meeting, the SSP Traffic Rural Jammu directed them not to ply unfit vehicles and avoid overloading. He also said that an FIR will be registered against the driver for overloading the passenger vehicles and driving license/ Route permit will be sent to concerned RTO for suspension. He further added that a crane has been deployed in District Poonch for removing the wrongly parked vehicles for hassle free vehicular movement. He inspected the roads from Thanamandi to DKG, Bufliaz road, Surankote to Poonch, Chandak to Mandi, Mandi to Loran and Poonch to Chakkan-da-Bagh. The participants generally requested for installation of crash barriers on the roads from Surankote to Poonch, Chandak to Mandi and Mandi to Loran. However, some respected persons demanded plying more vehicles in Loran area. Moreover, some drivers/public complained about the bad condition of Poonch to Jhullas road and demanded immediate repair. They have been assured that their genuine demand shall be redressed.
