Munazah Gazi of J&K bags silver in Junior Asian Wushu Championship

Munazah Gazi of Jammu and Kashmir bagged silver medal in the 10th Junior Asian Wushu Championship held at Brunie from August 17 to 24, 2019. She contested in the 60 kg weight category. Hails from district Srinagar, Munazeh is a student of Presentation Convent School. Before her final selection in the Indian team, she attended National Camp at SAI Bhopal. The final selection took place at NIS Patiala, a handout issued by the Wushu Association of Jammu and Kashmir informed here on Monday. Meanwhile, Chief Coach of India in Wushu, Kuldeep Handoo, who hails from Jammu and Kashmir, congratulated young Munazah for making the state proud. Congratulatory messages also poured in from Association President, Vijay Saraf, Ranjeet Kalra (Senior Vice President), Deepak Handa, Sunil Sharma and Sohit Sharma. As per the reports reaching here, Indian Wushu team bagged 10 medals, including three silver and seven bronze in the championship
