In widespread rain and landslides in Kerala, it is reported that 83 people died. Around 2 lakh 70 thousand people are in various relief camp. Rescue and search operations are in full swing. As met dept warns rain in the state, Orange is issued in 6 districts. Holiday is declared for all educational institutions in 9 districts today. Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said that weather updates show heavy rain could persist for two more days in the state. Authorities have been put on high alert. The IMD has issued a red alert for Kannur, Kasaragod and Wayanad in view of heavy rain forecast.
