One terrorist was gunned down in an encounter that broke out between terrorists and security forces in Malmapanpora area of Sopore town in the early hours today. An Army soldier also sustained injuries during the encounter. One terrorist killed in the encounter has been identified as Zeenat ul Islam Naikoo.His body was recovered and handed over to his family last night. Zeenat Naikoo was a local terrorist of JeM in Shopian. He played the role of local anchor to the Jaish foreign terrorists. He was involved in various incidents of violence including attacks on the cops, firing and grenade lobbing on Police Station Shopian and Gagren Camp. He was key actor in FIR No 281/2018 of PS Shopian on 29.08.2018. Four policemen lost their lives in this attack by Zeenat and his associates. The operation is likely to be completed in the next few hours. The area was cordoned off by the security forces and the operation is underway
