First ‘open roof top’ bus service launched in Jammu

In a first of its kind initiative for Jammu city, Jammu Pryatan on Friday announced to start an open roof-top bus service for tourists visiting Jammu. The 27-Seater bus would ply to various tourist spots of Jammu and will carry the passengers to different places under a bouquet of package tours. Jammu Pryatan has taken up this initiative in coordination with the Department of Tourism, J&K Government. The bus will start from Kala Kendra, Bikram Chowk Jammu and will provide package tours to Suchetgarh, Akhnoor, Domel, Mansar Tawi Golf Course and will provide various sightseeing facility to the tourists at Suchetgarh border, Ambaran, Chenab River, Jiopota Ghat, Gurdwara Sahib, Pandava Gufa Temple, Kameshwar Temple, Chichi Mata and Nageshwar Temple. The passengers would also be provided lunch and evening tea as paid services on advance booking. The open roof-top bus service was flagged off today by Divisional Commissioner, Jammu Sanjeev Verma from Amar Mahal in presence of Mayor Jammu Chander Mohan Gupta, Deputy Commissioner Jammu Ramesh Kumar, Simrandeep Singh CEO Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board, Director Tourism OP Bhagat, Vice Chairman JDA Vikas Sharma, Commissioner JMC Pankaj Magotra, Joginder Singh SSP Traffic Jammu, Tejinder Singh (SSP), Dhananter Singh, RTO Jammu, Deep Raj Kanathia, Additional Secretary Forest and others. All the dignitaries boarded and travelled on the bus from Amar Mahal to Sidhra Gold Club Jammu.
