Johnson & Johnson Institute in collaboration with the Department of General Surgery and Minimal Invasive Surgery, Acharya Shri Chander College of Medical Sciences (ASCOMS) & Hospital inaugurated a Skill Demonstration Lab. The Lab will be used to train the young resident doctors and PG students for Hands-on Coordination and in Minimal Invasive Surgery. The Centre was jointly inaugurated by HL Maini, vice president, DK Batra, joint secretary and Dr Pavan Malhotra, Director Principal in the presence of Dr KS Mehta, Prof & Head Surgery, Dr RK Chrungoo, Dr BS Pathania, Professors of Surgery, other faculty members and resident doctors. This Lab is first of its kind operational in Jammu region and will be eventually upgraded to a full-fledged Skill Lab with Simulator and other advanced training equipment for onboard training workshops of the resident doctors. Dr KS Mehta, Prof & Head Surgery, while speaking on the occasion, this training centre in his department at ASCOMS & Hospital will be helpful for better training of resident doctors and young surgeons.
