Rich tributes were paid to martyr rifleman Aurangzeb on his first death anniversary at his native village Salani in Tehsil Mendhar, Poonch. The locals of Mendhar Sub Division along with officers from Army and Civil Administration paid floral tribute to rifleman Aurangzeb at native village Salani in Tehsil Mendhar. Martyr Aurangzeb was abducted and later killed by militants in Pulwama district of Jammu and Kashmir, official said, adding that Aurangzeb sustained multiple bullet injuries in a dastardly act wherein he was kidnapped and killed by terrorists in Gasu village of Pulwama when he was on his way to his home to celebrate Eid with his family. 24-year-old Aurangzeb joined the Army in 2012. He is survived by his wife, parents and three brothers, the official informed. The family members of the martyrs Aurangzeb organized a function on his first death anniversary, wherein hundreds of people paid tributes to the martyr. District Development Commissioner (DDC) Poonch Rahul Yadav, DIG Rajori Poonch Range Vivek Gupta, SSP Poonch Ramesh Angral, officers from Army and civil administration were present on the occasion.
