A joint team of enforcement agencies today suspended licence of four Medical Stores for violation of certain norms. To ensure the quality of drugs being sold to the patients and to regulate the prices of the drugs, a team comprising Assistant Drug Controller, Tehsildar Rajouri and Drug inspectors carried out surprise inspection of 85 medical shops and collected samples of various medicines for lab testing and analysis. The inspection was carried out on the directions of Deputy Commissioner, Mohammad Aijaz Asad. Around 85 medical shops were inspected by the team including 15 in Darhal, 07 in Manjakote, 10 in Thanamandi,18 in Nowshera, and 03 in siot. The team also suspended licences of three Medical shops for one day and that another for 05 days for no maintaining sale and purchase record. The team also collected 38 drug samples for lab testing and analysis to ascertain quality of drugs.
