Authorities on Saturday suspended the class work at a few educational institutions in Sopore sub division in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district in view of the killing of a local militant yesterday.
“In view of prevailing situation and as a precautionary measure, Govt Degree college. Sopore, higher secondary school boys and higher secondary school girls Sopore shall suspend their class work tomorrow on May 11th 2019,” read an order issued by the additional district magistrate Sopore last evening.
The rest of the educational institutions, it said, will function normally.
Ishfaq Ahmad Sofi alias Abdullah Bhai, a resident of Model Town Sopore was killed in a gunfight with the security forces in southern Shopian district early Friday.
