Officials facilitate travel of 3 PaK residents home

Officials on Monday facilitated travel of three stranded Pakistan administered Kashmir residents to Muzaffarabad.

PaK officials had requested for easing the travel of the residents, which had got delayed due to the temporary suspension of the bus service because of repairs on the Kaman Post bridge. The stranded passengers, soon after their arrival at the Salamabad, Uri, were allowed to cross the bridge.

Repairs on the bridge were started after representatives of GREF, supported by army engineers, on March 8 inspected it and said it has suffered damages. They had recommended its immediate repairs and maintenance to ensure its longevity.

GN Itoo, Deputy Commissioner Baramulla, said that two passengers from Kashmir had returned from PaK on April 22.
