Dogra Degree College, IPCA, MC Bari Brahmana celebrate Diwali by organising Cleanliness Drive

NSS Unit of Dogra Degree College, in collaboration with IPCA and the Municipal Corporation of Bari Brahmana, celebrated Diwali by organizing a Cleanliness Drive at the Bari Brahmana marketplace under the theme “This Diwali with My Bharat – Ye Diwali My Bharat Ke Saath.”
The event featured several engaging activities, including a plog run, where participants jogged while picking up litter, promoting both fitness and environmental awareness. Volunteers also participated in park cleaning efforts, enhancing the cleanliness and beauty of public spaces in the community.
Principal Dr. Bela Thakur highlighted the importance of community involvement in maintaining a clean environment, stating, “This Diwali, we aim to foster a sense of responsibility towards our surroundings. Let’s celebrate by ensuring a cleaner Bharat.” NSS Program Officer Simran Thakur led the initiative, supported by dedicated NSS members Mr. Rinkal Gupta and Pranika Gupta. Physical Instructor Mr. Kewal coordinated activities to ensure a vibrant and impactful event. Mr. Randeep Singh, Regional Manager of IPCA, along with Mr. Ninad Singh, CEO of Bari Brahmana, and his team, provided invaluable support, emphasizing the significance of collaborative efforts in achieving community goals.
The Cleanliness Drive not only beautified the marketplace but also inspired local residents to adopt sustainable practices, reinforcing the message of cleanliness during the festive season.
