The NCC Unit of Dogra Degree College organized a Cleanliness Drive at Sarore Park, Kartholi, Samba, today, under the Swachhta Pakhwada Campaign 2024. The drive commenced at 10:00 AM, with 27 NCC cadets actively participating in cleaning the park and its surroundings. The cadets focused on spreading awareness about cleanliness and nature conservation through the Swachhta Abhiyan.
They collected plastic and non-biodegradable waste from the park and nearby areas to prevent land pollution in this vital community space. Their efforts aimed to inspire the local community to maintain cleanliness and promote a green environment.
After completing the drive, the collected waste was responsibly disposed of in dustbins, reinforcing the message of not littering in public places.
Dr. Bela Thakur, Principal of Dogra Degree College, congratulated the NCC unit for their dedication to societal and environmental causes, praising their spirit of service. The program was conducted under the supervision of Mr. Gulshan Sharma, CTO/ANO.
