Dogra Higher Secondary School organized a special assembly to celebrate Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi, commemorating the birth of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). The event brought the entire school community together, promoting a message of peace, compassion, and unity, which are central to the Prophet’s teachings.
The Assembly commenced with a recitation from the Holy Quran, setting a spiritual tone for the morning. Students enthusiastically participated, reflecting on the life and teachings of Prophet Muhammad, emphasizing his principles of kindness, tolerance, and justice. A series of speeches were delivered by students across various grades, shedding light on topics such as the significance of Eid-e-Milad and the Prophet’s timeless guidance on how to live a life of virtue. One particularly moving presentation was a poem recited by Ridhi of class 8th who encapsulated the essence of the Prophet’s message through eloquent verse. The Managing Director of the School, Gambhir Dev Singh Charak, addressed the gathering, urging everyone to follow the Prophet’s path of compassion and selflessness. He reminded the students of the importance of embodying the values of unity and mutual respect, especially in today’s world, where these virtues are needed more than ever. Headmaster Ganesh Das, Coordinator Mrs Reetika were also present at the special assembly. Ritu Sharma whose organised the entire event. The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by the Vice Principal Gagandeep Bedi, who expressed her gratitude to the students, teachers, and staff for their efforts in making the day special. She emphasized the importance of learning from the Prophet’s life and encouraged the students to apply these lessons in their daily lives, contributing to a more harmonious and just society.
