The main road from RS Pura to Miran Sahib has been in a state of severe disrepair for an extended period, causing significant inconvenience and danger to the local residents and commuters. Despite numerous complaints and requests, the Public Works Department (PWD) has not taken any action to repair the road, leading to worsening conditions.
Local residents have expressed their frustration over the deteriorating condition of the road. The numerous potholes and cracks pose a serious risk to drivers and pedestrians alike. Accidents have become a common occurrence, with several incidents reported in recent weeks. The situation has reached a point where urgent intervention is necessary to prevent further mishaps.
The construction work on various sections of the road remains incomplete, adding to the woes of the people. Particularly, the stretch from Chauhala Morh to Gegiya Morh is in a precarious state. The divider work in this area, which is crucial for managing traffic and ensuring safety, has not been completed to date. The delay in finishing this critical part of the road infrastructure has left the road in a hazardous condition.
The village of Thikriya and the main intersection of Kotli Shah Doula are also severely affected. Large potholes in the middle of the road at these points are a major cause for concern. These potholes not only damage vehicles but also lead to frequent accidents, causing injuries to the commuters. Residents of these areas have repeatedly highlighted the issue, but their concerns have fallen on deaf ears.
Furthermore, the ongoing construction near Kullian Chowk and Tinde Kalan has left the road in an incomplete state. This unfinished work, combined with the existing damage, has made commuting through this route a nightmare for the residents. The road is riddled with deep potholes and uneven surfaces, making it extremely difficult for vehicles to navigate safely.
Local authorities have been criticized for their inaction and lack of responsiveness to the plight of the people. The residents are demanding immediate attention to the road repairs and completion of the pending construction work. They have urged the PWD to prioritize this issue and take swift measures to ensure the road is made safe for travel.
The main road from Aryas Pura to Meera Sahib is in urgent need of repair. The PWD’s neglect has led to hazardous conditions, causing frequent accidents and posing a significant risk to the local population. The completion of pending construction work and regular maintenance of the road are essential to prevent further deterioration and enhance road safety.
