Additional Director General,Jammu Kashmir & Ladakh Directorate, Maj Gen Rajesh Kumar Sachdeva reviewed the training of NCC camp being conducted by 5 J&K Bn NCC as well as released the Book “The Forgotten Face of the Guardians of the Valley: Rashtriya Rifles—Indian Army,” authored by 19 year old Junior Under Officer Haroon Imtiaz at NCC Training Academy, Nagrota. The General officer also complimented and felicitated the young author who has demonstrated this literary prowess at such a young age.
JUO Haroon Imtiaz, hailing from the village of Potha in District Poonch, embodies resilience forged in the crucible of adversity. Born amidst the turmoil of Jammu and Kashmir, he witnessed firsthand the harrowing loss of his infant brother to the merciless hands of militants-a tragedy that ignited within him an unwavering quest for truth. Educated within the nurturing walls of the Army Goodwill School Potha, Cadet Imtiaz stood witness to the divergent paths of inimical forces and the Indian Army, their agendas starkly contrasting.
