In a cordial gathering at Sher-e-Kashmir Bhavan, Jammu, Mr. Ajay Kumar Sadhotra, Additional General Secretary and former Minister, along with Provincial President JKNC Jammu, Mr. Rattan Lal Gupta, extended a warm welcome to the newest entrant, Er. Vikram Puri, and his wife Pooja Puri. The event served as a platform to reiterate the National Conference’s commitment to secularism, progress, and equitable development in Jammu and Kashmir.
Sadhotra underscored the significance of supporting the National Conference, highlighting it as the sole secular party capable of fulfilling the aspirations of the people of Jammu and Kashmir. He emphasized the importance of voting for alliance candidates in the upcoming Lok Sabha Polls, equating their victory to a mandate for development, peace, and progress in the region.
Rattan Lal Gupta echoed these sentiments, urging party workers to dedicate themselves to ensuring the success of alliance candidates.
He criticized the BJP leadership in Jammu & Kashmir for its alleged failure to safeguard the rights of the region’s residents, particularly in terms of land and job protection.
Er. Vikram Puri, in his pledge, affirmed his dedication to advancing the National Conference’s mission of fostering peace and progress in Jammu and Kashmir. He expressed his commitment to contributing to the transformation of the state into a peaceful and progressive entity.
Former ministers Babu Rampaul and Abdul Gani Malik, alongside other party stalwarts, reiterated the National Conference’s track record in promoting welfare and prosperity during its governance.
They urged the electorate to vote for alliance candidates, citing the party’s secular ethos and proven ability to bring about positive change.
A multitude of prominent figures attended the event, including former MLA Bimla Luthrra, provincial secretaries Pardeep Bali and Ayub Malik, treasurer Jugal Mahajan, and various other officials and party members. Their presence underscored the collective resolve to uphold the principles of secularism and work towards the betterment of Jammu and Kashmir under the National Conference’s leadership.
