PM Shri Govt. Higher Secondary School Bhalra, Bhaderwah today paid rich tributes to the Pulwama Martyrs on Martyrs Day (Black Day) in collaboration with 2 J&K (I) Coy NCC Bhaderwah.
On this occasion, NCC Cadets along with staff members of the Institution during a programme paid homage to the CRPF martyrs who lost their precious lives in the Pulwama terror attack on the same day in February 2019.
Remembering the brave soldiers of 2019 Pulwama terror attack who laid down their lives to protect the National Integrity, Sovereignty, Welfare and well being of the Nation, participants placed floral garlands on the photographs of the martyrs and resolved to work wholeheartedly for the progress and prosperity of the mother nation.
Earlier, the event was marked by lighting the Lamps in remembrance of the martyrs followed by two minutes of silence and National Anthem.
Dr. Sanjeev Kumar Koul (Associate NCC Officer) said that the entire nation was devastated on February 14th incident in which 40 brave Indian soldiers were martyred in a cowardly suicide bomb attack, sponsored by Pakistan based terror group, Jaish-e-Mohammad.
The prominent guests who were present during the event included Bihari Lal Sharma (Social Activist), Vijay Kumar (Ex-serviceman), Daresh Chander (Chowkidaar), Puran Singh, Man Raj and students of the Institution.
Posters displaying the valour of our brave soldiers by various students were also presented. “The event has gone a long way in strengthening the bond of mutual understanding, respect and brotherhood between awam and jawan,” Dr Koul further stated.
