Former Minister and Vice President J&K BJP Surjeet Singh Slathia today hailed the direct message of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to youth on National Voters Day, saying this will motivate the younger generation to play their important role in nation building and strengthening democracy.
Interacting with the people at specially organised screening of the Prime Minister’s virtual address on big screen, marking Namo Navmatdata Sammelan, Mr Slathia described the event as an effective medium to reach out to the grassroots, emphasise on the power of the vote and ensure widespread understanding of the government’s achievements among the new voters in particular.
Slathia said the BJP has hugely contributed in strengthening the democratic institutions and referred to the path breaking initiatives taken in this regard by providing platform to youth to participate in democratic processes at the grassroots level. He expressed happiness that the youth of Jammu and Kashmir are playing proactive role in politics for shaping the nation by being important part of decision making. Slathia referred to the strides made by the nation under the dynamic and visionary leadership of the Prime Minister during the past about ten years, saying India is at the centre stage across the world.
At the strength of huge mandate consecutively during the past two general elections Yashasvi Modiji has carved out a unique identity for the country in the comity of nations, he said, hoping the BJP will register hattrick in the ensuing elections given the mood of the nation.
Slathia complimented the young cadre for reaching out to the people and galvanizing the BJP at every level in a big way.
