The NSS unit of Government College of Education Jammu organized a Langer at Hari Mandir, Jammu, demonstrating their commitment to community service. Volunteers and staff members actively participated in Shram Daan, contributing their efforts towards the welfare of the community. As part of the initiative, they distributed food to the people on the occasion of the inaugural ceremony of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya. NSS Program Officer, Prof Sarita Dogra, and Dr Shubhra Jamwal shared their perspectives on the significance of the day, emphasizing the values of service and communal harmony. They highlighted the importance of such initiatives in fostering a sense of unity and shared responsibility.
Officiating Principal, Prof Satish Kumar Sharma, took the opportunity to encourage the student volunteers. He urged them to actively engage in social and community work, emphasizing the pivotal role of the youth in contributing to the betterment of the nation. Prof Sharma emphasized the need for students to channel their energy towards constructive and socially beneficial activities, fostering a sense of responsibility and empathy.
