Tiny Tots Hr Sec School, Celebrated its Annual Cum Sports Day Function in the School Grounds at Sainik Colony today.
The Guests of Honour for the day included Prof. (Dr) Sindhu Kapoor Dy Director SCERT, Jammu Division, Dr Daud Iqbal Baba, Director, Directorate of Sports and Physical Education University of Jammu, both of whom are the alumni of Tiny Tots Hr Sec School. Col. Yogendra Gaur of the Indian Army and Sandeep Seth, Chief Engineer PDD were also the Guests of Honour for the day.
Senior students of the school welcomed the Guests with showers of rose petals. Dr Vikram Handa, the Principal of Tiny Tots Hr Sec School presented the welcome address andthe annual report of the School. The Chairperson , Veena Handa along with the Director of the School Gurpreet Handa andthe Guests of Honor declared the meet open by Lighting the Torch which was carried around the field by the Sports captain of the School, Shakeel Ahmed. This was followed by the Guard of Honor presented by Contingents of different houses led by the Captain body of the School.
The Students of Kindergarten completed their round of marching waving Tri Colours as they marched filling the atmosphere with excitement and expectation of the coming events.
The Finals of various Athletic events including the sprints, the long distance races , long jump and fun races for the junior classes were held during the day. Senior teachers including Kiran, Neerja, Suman, Simmi, Rupinder and Monika were awarded for their diligence and hard work.
Dr Daud Iqbal congratulated the students and praised them for their hard work. He also invited the students of the school to visit the sports complex of the University of Jammu.
Prof Sindhu Kapoor in her address to the students reminisced about the years that she spent as a student at Tiny Tots and paid tributes to Late ShKulbushan Handa. She urged the student to keep working hard and keep trying to achieve their full potential and impressed upon the parent to encourage and support the students to take part in as many co-curricular activities as possible as these activities imbibe life skills in the students.
Sandeep Seth praised the management for nurturing the students and he also motivated the students to conserve electricity.
Colonel Yogendra Gaur motivated the students to always be self motivated and leave their egos aside during their student hood. He praised the students for the display of their talents and urged the students to join the forces. Veena Handa, Chairperson of Tiny Tots Group of Schools lauded the efforts of the students and the staff members for putting up a fabulous performance. Towards the end some fun races were organized both for the staff and the parents. Tamanna Binti Shamim presented the vote of thanks to all the dignitaries and guests present for the day.
