Regional Directorate of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, J&K and Ladakh, in collaboration with Directorate of Skill Development J&K on Tuesday organized “National Apprenticeship Awareness Workshop” at Govt. ITI Rajouri to create awareness among youth/Establishments about Apprenticeship Scheme.
The Dignitaries viz Ravi Chilukoti , Regional Director/Central Regional Apprenticeship Advisor, RDSDE, J&K and Ladakh, Sudershan Kumar State Apprenticeship Advisor JK(UT) and Director Skill Development J&K, Ashwani Kumar, General Manager, DIC, Rajouri, Haji Mohammad Shafi Qureshi, President, Industrial Estate, Kheora, Rajouri (JK), V.Babu, Joint Director/Central Joint Apprenticeship Advisor, RDSDE, J&K and Ladakh, Ram Singh Locham, Assistant Director/Central Assistant Apprenticeship Advisor, RDSDE, J&K, Gurmeet Singh, Assistant Director, RDSDE/NSTI (W), Jammu were present during the Apprenticeship workshop today at District Rajouri.
The event was inaugurated by Chief Guest Sudershan Kumar, State Apprenticeship Advisor JK (UT) & Director Skill Development Department J&K, Ashwani Kumar, General Manager, DIC, Rajouri, and Haji Mohammad Shafi Qureshi, President, Industrial Estate, Kheora, Rajouri. Ravi Chilukoti, highlighted the benefits of the apprenticeship scheme and opportunities by the Govt. of India. He also focused on the establishments registered in the J&K UT and advised the representatives of industries to accommodate ITI pass-outs/trainees under the Apprenticeship Act.
Sudershan Kumar, Director Skill Development Department J&K appreciated the efforts for organizing District Level Workshops for benefitting youth of the district through apprenticeship scheme.
He advised all the staff members/ industrialists to provide the youth opportunities to earn their livelihood which is the moral duty of every citizen and asked industrialists to develop relationships with ITI’s teenage Apprentices.
He also inaugurated the Car Driving Training Simulator Machine for the training purpose of Driver Cum Mechanic Trade at ITI Rajouri
V.Babu (ISDS), Joint Director/Central Joint Apprenticeship Advisor, RDSDE, J&K and Ladakh welcomed all the higher officers/officials, staff members, industry partners/representatives of various industries and other new establishments for early registration in the Apprenticeship Portal. He briefed the Apprentice scheme with PowerPoint presentation during the event and also highlighted the recent updating in Apprentice Scheme.
General Manager District Industries Centre, Rajouri, Ashwani Kumar, informed all the stakeholders to tie up with district ITIs to achieve maximum enrolment under the ATS scheme in the industry sector of Kathua. He also requested to organize placement fairs, participation Apprenticeship Melas and recruit ITI Passout trainees as apprentices.
Haji Mohd Shafi Qureshi, President, Industrial Estate, Kheora, Rajouri (JK) spoke on the occasion and briefed the stakeholders about the benefits of the scheme and requested to engage Apprentice trainees from the remote areas of the District Rajouri to address the issue of unemployment.
Gurmeet Singh (ISDS), Assistant Director, RDSDE/NSTI(W), Jammu, presented vote of thanks to all dignitaries, Principal, Govt. ITI Rajouri, staff, media persons and all directly/indirectly organizing the event successfully and for a better tomorrow with good skills.
