The Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra (VBSY) continues in full swing in Kathua district and has reached far-off Panchayats of Lohai Malhar and Duggan Blocks of Kathua district.
Today, 8 Panchayats of Lohai Malhar and Duggan Blocks were covered under VBSY which included Nelhew, Thalla Upper, Thalla lower, Malhar, Surjan Chack, Chaloga, and Bari People in huge numbers thronged the venues to listen to the message of the PM of India.
The venues presented a festive look with colourful cultural events besides presentation of success stories of beneficiaries, progressive farmers, entrepreneurs and an effective IEC campaign about centrally sponsored schemes.
On the occasion, the elected PRIs and field functionaries of stakeholder departments spread awareness about government schemes besides Audio-Video sessions through IEC Vans mounted LEDs remained key attractions for the locals.
IEC vans today covered far off panchayats where awareness about welfare schemes related to sanitation facilities, essential financial services, electricity connections, access to LPG cylinders, housing for the poor, food security, proper nutrition, reliable healthcare, clean drinking water, etc were imparted.
A lot of excitement was seen around the VBSY IEC vans, as the villagers, young and old, thronged these venues of IEC vans and enthusiastically participated in VBSY.
