JAMMU: Devender Singh Rana, former Legislator & senior BJP leader today called on Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha at Raj Bhawan.
Rana apprised the Lt Governor about various issues of public importance pertaining to the revival of Self Help Groups of Engineers; regularization of daily wagers; pending payments under MGNREGA, besides other development issues. Discussions were also held on important issues like creation of new employment avenues for the locals; fast-track recruitment for government jobs; Widow Pension for all widows and welfare of Covid warriors.
The Lt Governor gave a patient hearing to the former Legislator and assured him of due consideration of the genuine issues projected during the interaction. The Lt Governor observed that the present dispensation is committed to equitable development and the welfare of the people. The citizen-centric policies adopted by the UT Government have been made more effective and inclusive to meet the developmental needs of the people, he added.
The Lt Governor urged Sh Rana to continue his endeavors for promoting public welfare on all fronts.
