Army-Police and Traffic Police Rescue 12 People Trapped in Snowfall in Pir Ki Gali

In the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, the torrential rains that continued in the early hours have thrown life out of gear. In such a situation, the Jammu and Kashmir National Highway has also been closed for traffic, while in many areas, the process of saving the people trapped between snowfall and storm is going on by running relief operations.

Army, Police and Traffic Police conducted a joint rescue operation in the Peer Ki Gali area on Mughal Road in Poonch and rescued 12 people trapped amid snowfall in the area. According to the information, some local shopkeepers and local workers got stuck due to snowfall near Ziarat located in Peer Ki Gali. As soon as the police control room got the information, they immediately informed the army, police and traffic police stationed on the spot. Soon, the military shifted 12 people trapped in the snowfall to safer places with the help of police and traffic police. DTI Mohammad Qasim posted on Mughal Road said that 12 people trapped in the Pir Ki Gali area were safely rescued.

Earlier in the morning, police in Budgam had done humanitarian work by relocating 16 members of the nomadic community trapped in the high mountainous area of Nagbal area to safer places. Pictures of rescue work and operation are being shared on the internet media by the Jammu and Kashmir Police. Everyone is praising this action of the J&K Police.
