1 OGW Detained in Phallian Mandal Weapon-Dropping Case

On the night of October 2, the Jammu Police got a big success in the case of drone hurling of weapons by Pakistan in the Makwal sector (Phalain Mandal) of Satwari. The Over Ground Worker (OGW) of the terrorists who came to collect the weapons packets thrown by the drones was arrested by the Jammu Police from the Anantnag district of Kashmir.

Irfan Ahmed Bhat S/O Farooq Ahmed Bhat R/O Verinag Anantnag. He stands arrested in case FIR no. 230/21 U/S 120-B IPC, 7/25 Arms Act and 13,16,18,23 ULAP dated October 22t 2021 in PS Satwari. He has confessed that he is in touch with handlers across and is associated with LeT. He had come here to receive the consignment

It is being told that the mobile phone of OGW Imran Farooq was also caught during this period. Under the supervision of SSP Jammu Chandan Kohli, SP City South Deepak Dhingra, SHO Satwari Deepak Jasrotia ignited the investigation by connecting all the links related to the case. It has been proved in the inquiry that Imran Farooq is in contact with terrorists from across the border. Therefore, they had entrusted him with bringing the weapons thrown by the drones to the Makwal sector of Satwari.

The weapon thrown from the drone was a yellow coloured packet with a synthetic thread tied on it. An AK 47, 3 magazines, 30 rounds and an American made telescope were found in the package.
