35 arrested, 36 FIRs lodged for SOP violations

JAMMU: Police has arrested 35 persons, lodged 36 FIRs and sealed 30 commercial establishments for violating guidelines, issued in wake of surge in COVID-19 pandemic cases.

As per police sources, a massive action has been taken by Jammu Police in which FIRs against the violators of DM order have been registered. In total, 36 FIRs were lodged within 24 hours by Jammu Police. Thirty five persons were arrested and 30 commercial establishments seized in violation of the COVID 19 guidelines.

Six FIRs were registered in Police Stations Gangyal, Janipur and Satwari each, 5 in Police Station Gandhi Nagar, 4 in Police Station Channi Himmat, 3 in Police Station Pacca Danga, 2 each in Police Station Nagrota and Police Station Bagh-e-Bahu and one in Police Station Akhnoor.

It is important that people adhere to the SOPs so that the further spread of the virus can be checked.
